"Abuela" is an accumulation of all the techniques I use in my stained glass products. 3D, etching and glass paint. She measures about 18 inches 14 inches, plus a chain for hanging.
Working on this piece I really felt connected to my Nana. There was a comfort in that and I wanted to capture that feeling and share it with everyone. This piece is called, “Abuela.” She is everyone’s grandma...mine, yours, ours
This piece was recently at the Maude Kerns Art Gallery in Eugene, Oregon for their Día de los Muertos, Day of the Dead Exhibit that ran October 17th- November 7th 2025.
